Office Technician

Reporting to the Human Resources and Payroll Manager, this person would provide technical and administrative support with respect to the various fields of human resources and payroll processes.

Primary Responsibilities: The main tasks and responsibilities of the position are as follows:
  • Assisting Management and Human Resources Advisors in the performance of their duties;
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager in the performance of his/her duties;


More specifically, the incumbent must:

Minimum level of education and/or specialization:

  • Participate in Canadian and U.S. payroll validation;
  • Participate in the annual compensation update;
  • Make weekly and monthly government remittances;
  • Actively participate in the entire process of recruiting resources for Tring-Jonction (internal and external job postings, telephone interviews, reference request coordination, correspondence, etc.);
  • Participate in the process of welcoming and integrating new employees for Tring-Jonction;
  • Assist in the implementation of the training plan for staff (competency grid, Law 90, Ceridian support for supervisors) for Tring-Jonction;
  • Follow up on all administrative tasks including changes to employee records and follow-up of related administrative actions (Bank management, application of records of employment, activation and disabling of records of employee, etc. for Tring-Jonction);
  • Inform the person responsible for the payroll of any changes in working conditions, hiring, resignations and retirements, within the required time, for Tring-Jonction;
  • Track attendance records for Tring-Jonction;
  • Be a positive force in the management of change and encourage mobilization;
  • Any other tasks related to the field of expertise.

The candidate will have to work from our Ste-Marie location and Tring-Jonction location.

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • DEC in Office Administration or 5 years of experience
  • Excellent mastery of spoken and written French
  • Intermediate English
